Journal:

-          Monday, June 6th
After class, I spent afternoon and most of the night postponing the elaboration of my Pensamiento Político paper. Sara and I watched musical fragments from Alice in Wonderland. We finally resumed to finishing up at school so I went to bed relatively early.
-          Tuesday, June 7th
First two hours of class were spent on a career-orientation talk with some presentations. I looked forward to the Comunicacion Social student, but did not enjoy this part thoroughly. Class hours went by slowly and lost all of my interest. Back home, I watched the Venezuela – Spain football match and later started my research for the China project.
-          Wednesday, June 8th
First two hours were also out-of-class activities, spent on a career orientation government test. I got publicity, design and communication. After class my project group went to Ivana’s house to start on topic divisions and organization. Mom picked me and Sara up and we argued in the car about a song she classified as ‘gay’ because of the effeminate vocal harmonies. I later resumed to my literature homework which was the final paper of my story. Sara gave me a couple ideas while she worked on her own, sitting on the terrace/roof of our house. My story is a letter from Superman to a fan. Looking for stuff in my room, I found my dad’s birth certificate, hunting license and Portuguese ID. I did some research on Thirty Seconds To Mars ‘weekly picks’ on books, movies, music and websites of the according week and the one before; found some interesting new things.
-          Thursday, June 9th
Turned in my Superman paper, later had a test on Art History. We started The Name of The Rose movie in Philosophy class. Research on the English project; started developing resentment feelings toward China.
-          Friday, June 10
Since I had planned a project meeting, I could not attend the movie with my father and siblings. Although the meeting did not go through, I worked on the project most of the day. I also spent a lot of time ‘blogging’ around the literature works of the Humanities class and music news and festivals; started planning the next three weeks around national concerts and art fairs.
-          Saturday, June 11
I woke up to a messy room; my creativeness took over and I was quickly pasting my 9nth year notebook covers on my wall. Read through some papers and tests I kept, found myself singing by heart all the lyrics I used to scribble on them. Spent the afternoon on the project. Around 8, my father picked me and by siblings up at my house to attend my cousin’s birthday dinner. We showed up without a present after visiting the mall, which closed right in front of us. I managed to write a corny birthday card in the car on the way. We had grilled sardines and chocolate cake. Sara and I mostly talked to my cousin’s father-in-law, about music, love, life and arts. We got back home around 3 am, washed the cake out of our hair and went to sleep.
-          Sunday, June 12th
I had asked Sara to call me up early so she did around 8 am. I was determined to stay in my room until I finished my part of the project. I was done by 10, had breakfast and worked on the rest; finished by 1 pm. Sara wanted to attend a ska concert on Plaza La Castellana so I hurried her. I had lunch, took a shower and was ready to go by 2, the concert was starting. She had lunch, took a shower and we headed out around 2:30. We got lost at Plaza Francia, asked for directions and got to the spot near 3; ran into Nicolás Passaro and Guillermo Hellmund at McDonald´s. We met with a friend outside the concert and ran into the crowd when the barriers were moved. In the chaos, I hit my leg with into one. Moving into the crowd, Desorden Público was already half into the concert. When they were done we sat down and waited a half hour for the German guest group, The Busters. The group did very well and managed to get their message across, in Germanish English. At one point they asked everyone in the crowd to sit down and have them jump aggressively into the following song. A strange group of young adults in the middle refused to sit and bottles and stuff was thrown at them. When they finished, we approached the stage to meet the group; spent about a half hour there and were mistreated by the guards. We finally talked to them and went home. I picked up some stuff from a book store for my brother and bought my mom’s birthday gift. Got home, worked on the project, remembered a literature assignment, and wrote it in 20 minutes, in bed around 2 am.
-          Monday, June 13th
Rushed to school; spent all day preparing the project. In the car on the way to school, I dictated mom instructions to find her birthday gift hidden in my room. Most important part of the day was the English class, for which we were all freaking out and running around. My presentation turned out ok, I calmed down. In the phys ed hour, I had an argument with the teacher for not letting me in the game because I was a little late. Got home and watched a very interesting episode of Spongebob Squarepants. I later started my research for the French project on the Eiffel Tower. During the night I discussed The Dreamers movie with Tomás Rodríguez, who had some interesting insights on Mai 68 and director Berlusconi. We ended up talking about school and college and finally went to bed around 11.
-          Tuesday, June 14th
I frankly don’t remember much of this day. We had a weird activity in Psychology class, in Pensamiento Politico we just talked about political parties and democracy, in French we had the oral presentation of the project and in conversation we discussed The Name of The Rose. This day was the first time I participated on the Centro de Estudiantes election. I probably slept most of the afternoon, since I don’t remember much of it. I had no immediate homework due on Wednesday, so I started writing this. I took most of this information from my Twitter timeline to help me recall on my weekly activities. I fell asleep looking at the 35 pictures I had posted since I opened my twitter account.
-          Wednesday, June 15th
We celebrated Isabel’s birthday with a snack on recess. In Literature class we read El Día Que me Quieras by José Ignacio Cabrujas, in History I was truly absent, the Art teacher was busy during our hour so I used it to draw my future tattoo on my foot. Four girls stayed in the room with me and danced the entire hour. I got home at 1:30, had lunch and napped until 6. I stumbled around all day sleepily, asked around everybody for a ride to a concert but couldn't go. Philosophy work was done between 10 and twelve and then I went to bed.
- Thursday, June 16th
The literature class was spent on studying philosophy for the test, in which I got a 10, contrasted to the essay which was a 19. Premilitar was just marching but it was fun. We later  had the French presentation in which I talked about the Eiffel Tower with Isabel. In English class we saw the Japan presentation. Home, I read a little of the Linguistica article and then studied math. Took a break, watched Big Time Rush and resumed to studying. I had a late dinner and fell asleep reading around 11.
- Friday, June 17th
I woke up late and ran to the car. First class was the math test, I got a 16. In History we watched the Caracazo team's video project. In English we went over the themes for Monday's test and in Linguistica we had an activity concerning the article. In Art History I walked around the class and drew on the cardboard, and in Guiatura we went downstairs to the football court and discussed what 5th year will be like: Philosophy, Sociology, English, what we should expect from the teachers and the new subjects, and what we should change in order to do better. I went to Ivana's house to work on the History video project and wrote this last part. I really liked this assignment, it made me think and recap on the last two weeks which practically flew by me as I worked on the last of the school year. Thank you.
